Dog Grooming

Pet Grooming is much more than a bath and haircut! Each pet is given a groomer's exam which evaluates the overall condition of your pet's coat, skin, nails, etc .before, during and after grooming. This exam helps determine which shampoo to use, tools, drying methods, etc. Every visit is built around the dedication to a Fear Free Environment. Your pet's overall wellness is our priority.  My Veterinary Technician background can give you piece of mind when it comes to your pet’s safety. Proper handling ,safe and high quality products and proper sanitization of equipment and the salon are some of the many things that are of high priority here at Dog Gone Great llc.

Basic Grooming

This is an essential service that maintains the appearance and hygiene of your pet. Each Basic service at Dog Gone Great llc includes:

  • Groomer's exam and consult. a short exam upon check in and consulted with you on how to address any areas of concern. When you pick up your pet any additional issues will be discussed.

  • We use premium , luxury shampoos, fine conditioners and custom products. A variety of high end products are available dependent on your pet’s specific needs.

  • Complete hand drying with safe, low heat.

  • Full brush and comb out removing dead coat and tangles.

  • Nail trimming and filing/dremeling if possible.

  • Ear cleaning with a premium , gentle cleaner

  • Pad trim-extra fur removed between pads to help avoid matted clumps, yeast and bacterial infections

  • Sanitary trim-keeping the private areas nice and tidy to avoid odors and infections

Full Grooming

​​Includes all of the basic groom essentials as well as a haircut of your choice. After a full Groomer's exam, we consult with you on what length would best suit your pet at this time. We will work hard to give your pet the individual look you want that will assuredly bring out the essence of your pet’s personality.

VIP Service:

Upgrade our Basic or Full Groom to VIP Status! This Wellness Package is especially beneficial for our Senior and arthritic friends but all can certainly benefit:

  • Heated mat to enhance circulation for mobility prior to grooming.

  • Heated towel to help regulate temperature changes after a bath.

  • Gentle Stretch exercises and massage to increase mobility and flexion before grooming. Repeated after grooming to help alleviate some aches and pains.

  • Tooth Brushing/ Polishing is included if your pet allows.

  • Fleas:We do not accept pets that have fleas but in the event we find live fleas , a natural flea shampoo will be used to kill fleas on your pet.

    Skunk Bath : On occasion, our pets choose to play with some friends that get scared and spray a very pungent odor on them. We have natural shampoos the can help relieve the scent. How much of the odor is removed is dependent on when the unfortunate incident happened, where on your pet it is located and the condition or your pet’s overall health. It can takes weeks , sometimes months to have the unpleasant “perfume” gone completely.

    Odor Removal: Sometimes our pets have an “odor” which can be related to many things . It can be caused from an underlying medical condition, food, allergies, rolling in “something” etc. We have a variety of products to customize your pet’s needs.

  • Hot Oil treatments can help moisturize a pet’s coat and help with seasonal allergies. It can give the coat an extra boost and leave a beautiful glossy coat. This is especially helpful for dry, flaky, itchy skin. The oil is warmed , applied to the skin and coat and massaged in. The warm water opens the pores allowing the oils to soak in.

  • Clay masks are designed to deeply cleanse, detoxify and soothe the skin while promoting a healthy coat. Certain masks can help reduce odor by absorbing excess oil and dirt. These are usually applied to the coat for 15-20 minutes before rinsing. This can be a wonderful detox for your pet.

  • Sugar scrubs are used to exfoliate and remove dirt, oil and dead skin. It deep cleans pores and moisturizes dry, flaky skin.

  • Beneficial for pets with itchy paws, odor and irratation. Helps reverse damage from environmental damage, and effectively removes bacteria, yeast and allergens

  • De-shedding (rejuvenates the coat)package-All pets have dead coat removal as part of the grooming service. The package includes special shampoos and conditioners to help minimize shed in between baths by providing extra hydration.

    • De-matting-If extra de-matting can be done in a humane way vs trimming your pet shorter there will be an additional fee for time.

  • Teeth brushing/polishing-If your pet allows, teeth brushing with pet safe toothpaste , water pic and polish for overall dental health is a great addition to your normal pet dental care at home. This is also not a replacement for a complete dental done by veterinarians. You will be notified of any visible dental issues that require veterinary care.

  • Annette is great. I have a 4 year old mini bernedoodle and was looking for a more peaceful/calm place to take her. So happy we made the switch! Annette is knowledgeable, kind and very skilled. Best cut we've ever had! This is exactly the type of place anyone would love to take their pet.
