Has your pet been fired from a Grooming Salon? Maybe two? Asked not to come back? We are here to help with Fear-Free Pet Training for Grooming Experiences. Set up a consultation with Annette, a Certified Fear-Free Trainer, Groomer and Pet Sitter. An in depth consult discusses your pets specific difficulties during the grooming process and lays out a step by step process to improve the grooming for your pet and your groomer. The objective is to familiarize your pet with grooming and reduce (FAS) fear, anxiety and stress . The steps to reduce FAS are small and incremental to achieve the desired outcome. This may start with merely entering the facility. Nothing is forced, rather a positive acclimation process. We welcome dogs that have received negative behavioral feedback from groomers. Although we have a grooming salon, we do not generate new clients from this service. We provide this service as a resource for our grooming community. When a pet goes to the groomer, in general, this does not include training and a high degree of acclimation time. This service prepares your pet for the grooming process. Whether you have a puppy that has never been groomed or a dog that is having difficulties at the groomer, these sessions are the stepping stone to success.

As a Fear-Free Professional, we want to improve your pet’s behavior in the grooming salon. We aim to make these sessions a positive experience for you and your pet and as stress free as possible. These sessions will help you understand why your pet is behaving/reacting a certain way and how breaking down the scenarios step by step will help your pet , your groomer and you a much more positive and pleasant experience.
